First time I've commented here. For your Summer Tweed, one idea can be seen on the Vogue Knitting websites free patterns page, the Indian Summer Sweater (www.vogueknitting.com/charts/2007/free/indian-summer.pdf). I like the two-row stripes with a contrasting color on the edges and am planning to use it on a sleeveless shell, someday.

How big do you make these blankets? I made an afghan but a blanket is another matter entirely! The colors of swatch 1 and 3 are my favorites. I'm looking forward to seeing what you decide to make.

I also would love to know if you used a pattern for the blanket or just went for it. I think it is a project my skills & lack of patience (for long projects) could handle! =)
